Parents, age-appropriate children, extended family and friends are also welcome to accompany you as you experience your unborn baby in live 4D motion providing a unique and positive bonding opportunity.

Our private rooms are equipped with large flat-screen monitors providing you and your guests with an opportunity to experience your unborn baby waving their little hand, sucking on their thumb, or actually being able to see your baby's facial expressions. With our exciting new 3D & 4D ultrasound imaging equipment, you can actually see what your baby is going to look like before they are born.

Our highly experienced and qualified sonographers will review every step of your ultrasound screening and willingly answer any questions prior to and during the experience.

Our Guarantee to you

The position of your baby can on occasions be such that Gender Determination & 3D/4D imagery is difficult to achieve. On these occasions the Sonographer may ask you to take a gental stroll to encourage movement of your baby before recommencing your scan. On the rare occasion your baby is still camera shy, you would be offered a complimentary re-scan visit on an alternate date. *T&C's apply

On the extremely rare occasion we are unable to obtain that which is required after your complimentary re-scan, the Sonographer will provide a professional opinion as to whether the desired result would be achievable through further scanning. We trust at such time you will appreciate we will have made every effort to achieve the desired result not with standing issues beyond our control, and as such we hope you would agree any further elected scan would be chargeable, albeit at a discounted rate.

State of the art equipment

We use the most advanced, state-of-the-art 3D and 4D ultrasound imaging machine available, the GE Voluson i. Unlike inferior types of 3D/4D machines that have a much slower frame speed, the GE Voluson i provides unparalleled clarity. With First Encounters Ultrasound, you can be assured in the knowledge that your baby's movements won't appear "choppy" or stalled.

Professional Bodies

All our sonographers are registered with the Health Professionals Council.

Health Professions Council (HPC) are the regulator for health profesionals, and they were established to protect the public. To do this, they keep a register of all qualified health professionals who meet their standards for training, professional skills, behaviour and health.

Regulatory Bodies

There are industry regulators under which our business operations are required to conform. The first being the Care Quality Commission (CQC) who regulate health care and in particular diagnostic & screening activities within England, and the second being Heath Inspectorate Wales (HIW) who regulate the health care industry in Wales. We are proud to announce that our facilities located in England are approved, registered and regulated by CQC. Whilst HIW do not currently regulate the same diagnostic & screening activities in Wales it is our policy to ensure we operate to the highest industry standards, as such you can be confident that our operations in Wales reflect the standards depicted by CQC regulations.
